Yesterday marks a new chapter for Ivan & Ivy. They had their wedding dinner @ Park Royal Hotel.

It was really a joyous occasion and I guess it's the only time where we see most of our friends and learn what we're currently doing.

We took some time to photowhore during cocktail.

Desmond, Lei Ying, Me, Xue Ting, Kelvin

And I havent seen Xue Ting ever since I got out of sec sch like 6 years ago?? Gosh, she've changed!

Apart from Xue Jun, I've seen the rest quite recently.

Me, Lei Ying, Su Ling, Caroline, Jing Ying & Shi Mei

Jing Min, Cheng Hwee, Jun Shen, Yuan Chang

Cheng Hwee also another stunner! She've transformed into a really pretty girl!

Dinner started and we're seated at this table where we cant see the stage and only a glimpse of the couple during march in. The hotel really need some brains when constructing the ballroom la.

    My Table

Seated: Micheal Tong, Claris, Desmond, Me

Standing (left to right): Clement, Wei Ming, I-forgot-his-name, Jackvic, Han Wen's Dad, Han Wen, Ivy, Gao Ning

The only person I know was Desmond. The rest seen before but nvr really talk to them. But yesterday, I think I talk to them more than I did throughout my 4 yrs of sec sch education man. By this time, I think I was alrdy at my 7th glass of red wine. Jackvic & Gao Ning was alrdy red like siao.

Then came the 'jing jiu' for the bride and groom again. So basically keep drinking la...Then somehow or rather I ask Yuan Chang to take picture with me...hahahaha! I think I do the darnest things when i'm high.

And poor Desmond was dragged in as well.

Quite gone here alrdy...I couldnt even stand straight nor walk in a straight line. Desmond also damn high!!!

Oh, and I sort of argued with Jackvic that it's lotus and not gingko in the dessert...hahhaha! Pardon me alright but it's really Lotus I'm sure!

Hmmm, I dunno how their pics were taken but it was just in my camera..hahaha!

Can you actually see that Des and I were almost gone? HAHAHHA...

I vaguely remember this pic was taken. All I could see was multiple image and ppl asking whether I was alright...goodness!

Thank you Cheng Hwee, Jing Min, Lei Ying for all the help rendered.

And Desmond for gossiping with me.

And Jackvic & gang for all the 'ta-ing' that just got me damn high. Remind me no more same table as them ever! They drink beer and wine like water lor.

Not forgetting Jermyn who sent me back to hall.

And of cus the bride & groom for the memorable night! Stay Blissful:)

    Thank you all!!!!!!

Woke up early today cus I had driving lessonat 12.20pm. And I left my room at 10.30 am thinking I will reach probably 15 min before lesson start.

I was damn wrong. I stupidly miscalculated and reached at 11.40am. Well done man! I could have slept half an hour longer. And somehow I sort of pulled my neck while sleeping last night. Woke up with a rather stiff neck and I tot to myself, "die liao, sure cannot turn properly for blind spot check."

Luckily it ain't that bad. But I guess I still need to coordinate my clutch-in and acceleration better. I feel the adrenaline for speed that I didn't know I was alrdy travelling at 80km/h on a 70km/h road...hahaha! It was till the instructor say, "WAH WAH WAH! Let go of accelerator, you exceeded 70 alrdy! Got speed camera here one leh. Dun havent get ur license then get negative demerit points." HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

And he thought I went on the road for a few times but was shocked when I told him it's only my 4th lesson. Think he kind of regretted not letting me start from circuit but well...I'm not a hazard to other road users.

Enough of driving for the moment, time to study for quiz. Time like this sucks but well, let's face reality!

The recent hooha on China milk products actually shooked the world, as well as the Lim's family.

My mum called last week and nagged at me for buying the Monmilk and she have since discarded it and she warned me not to buy any products made in China.

When I went home during the weekend, my mum say ice cream using milk from China also dun eat. Best is dun eat anymore icecream so my dad immediately went to the freezer and check whether we have anymore ice cream left. Luckily only left his Potong ice cream which he claim uses coconut milk so safe to eat.

When the Lin Clan decided to have Ice Cream Chef, we suddenly tot of milk scare again. Luckily they used Meiji Milk which I think comes from Aus cows and it's fresh milk so it' safe.

And just a moment ago, my bro msn me this:

    Kenny says:
please cheak all ur china consumable products hor

♥Seek the wisdom of the ages, but look at the world through the eyes of a child. says:

Anyways, talking abt Lin Clan outing. We had dinner at Different Taste Restaurant along Frankel Ave and the fish head is sedup la! Kudos to Anli for recommending :)

Then we wanted to go cheesecake cafe but it was close. Remember it's close on Mon & Tue. Luckily, Ice Cream Chef is just along that stretch of road and so we headed for it and goodness, I love my mix of Vanilla Bean & Honeydew + Kinder Bueno! We each had a cuppa and I wanna go back there again!

Watched Wall-E with Huat yest though I very much wanna watch Forgetting Sarah Marshall but the goon-doo me din see properly and tot it was suppose to be screened at 1.40pm but was actually 1.40am. Luckily I din buy online.

Wall-e was hmmm...not so nice leh. I almost fell asleep and Huat literally fell asleep!

Went over to PS and waited for the others to come. AND one by one was late. This Samuel who initiated this gathering which had me ended up calling everyone was damn late! And Chen Leong last min put aeroplane!

BUT nvm, the company made up for everything. We dined at Mind Cafe which I would say the food was bad yest except the brownie. Then we played Taboo which wasn't quite happening cus I guess everyone was tired and we rather talk than play.

We crossed over to Paradiz centre and settled in a cafe and continue our chit chat session until they close. Then went over to cathay and sat outside and continued to talk abt life. Time just blink and it was midnight.

Then hungry Huat wanted to eat so Edmund went back to get car and we went to eat Yong Tau Foo near my place. Saw Ben Yeo also and so qiao they saw him when we were at The Cathay a few hours ago. He opened the shop Left Foot I think.

Anyways, we talked more than we were in the mood for pictures. So only a few...

The fun began after the draggy IBN Open House.

We went vivo to walk see while waiting for Lun and Ernest.

In midst of looking for the loooooooooong pillow that was similar to Dan's at Tangs, smth happened and we quickly walk out of Tangs with lightning speed and ended up in TOYS 'R' US. Immediately, the 4 of us went wild looking for props to take pictures with. I think the shoppers found us crazy but heck la...how long more can we remain young???

He finally came after I made 726430364 calls.

Off to West Cost Park we went to 提灯笼! We happily went there without bringing lighter but I think they went to steal other ppl's fire.

I seriously need to wake up man! Instead of studying religiously, I keep sleeping!!!!

I woke up at 10 today even though I slept at 4 last night, thinking I can go undergrad lab to study.

Bathed and felt refreshed but only for that mere 30 mins. I called lun who was suppose to go lab and study also but he didn't pick the call so I'm quite sure he's still asleep.

So I decided to just stay in room until he call cus I'm quite afraid that I'll be alone in that quiet lab.

BUT AT 11AM, I DUNNO HOW I CREEP TO MY BED AND SNORE MY WAY THROUGH TILL ALMOST 3PM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was freak la!!! I slowly roll out of bed cus the aches from blading still lingers in the muscle tissue. I quickly went for brunch and off to lab. It was then lun called at almost 4pm thathe just woke up...hahahahaha!!!! Just as expected.

I dunno is it me or Prof Abadie's notes that is hypnotizing. I think I still doze off for at least 5 times while reading. It was terrible, really really terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dao Hao was in the lab so I dun feel that bad but still, his notes just put me to lala land damn quickly.

By 7pm, I decided to go back to hall to mug because it was raining and the aircon was too comfortable to slp.

Wrong move again! I went back, bathe again and after chatting with some friends, I was U-zapping on the bed, armed with notes. I think the U-zap was so shuang cus the muscle aches was relieved for a while. Even more quickly, I slipped into lala land AGAIN!!!!!!!! And I woke up 2 hours later..damn shit!

Anyways, we bought the Uzap king many months ago and sis put into my bag so I end up using it lor. If wanna jian fei hor, just book me to go blading la. This is a massager for the Lim's family. It doesn't work for jian fei-ing.

Meanwhile, I'll go read a lil before I head back to lala land..

    Goodnight world!

Day 10 - Hue to Lao Bao Border; Lao Bao to Savannakhet, Laos

We hired the Innova car to send us to Lao Bao border because we didn't wanna squeeze with the locals on the local bus. The hotel was quite bad because they didn't tell us that another 2 guys will be going with us so they could familiarise with the route. AND THEY CHARGED US A FREAKING USD70 if i'm not wrong! Wa lao!!! I tot I could sit in comfort in the last row again. This time we were sardine pack lor. I am bu shuang I pay for this 2 other strangers to share the car with me. And I cannot talk loud loud or sing or gossip as freely as I want to!

But anyways, they drop us off fast fast at the immigration and zoomed off with speed as fast as lightning. Then we also quite lost because we dunno where to chop stamp and everyone looked at us as if they wanna slaughter us. Especially the super black face immigration officer. Totally scrutinise us as if we were illegal immigrants.

Anyhoos, we still took a pic at the border.

The route to Lao's immigration check point.

Did you know that insurance do not cover you if anything were to happen to you when you're in between borders? Hence, we walk damn fast and tot that the immigration was far. Look at the picture below and you tell m how to not worry??? The road are not well paved and there's barely a soul.

Luckily, it was really nearby only la...

This buggers take money with passport. We saw the locals slipping money with the passport and we'e so lost as to what to do. We didn't know we had to give 7,000 kips (Laos currency). It's about S$1++. And we didn't prepare any kips with us. So we changed with the ever-ready money changer hanging ard us. I think they cheated us la but we also cannot do anything what. It's not singapore! We end up giving USD also. Super cheater bug cus they dun give back change one lor!

After this Lao's border was then the challenge! We didn't know how far away was the next town. We walk and walk and walk.....I forgot how long but it was definitely not very near la.

Finally reached a small town called Houay Alone... weird name indeed!

Looked high and low for transport to savannakhet and we're really blessed to have this guy to help us source for car cus he said the local bus just left not long ago and the next bus is tmr. But the car was super overprice!
Then again, I think luck was on or side. The local bus passed by when I was about to ask whether the guesthouse had rooms for us. DAMN HENG CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here comes the most hilarious part. Pay bus fares!

As you know, we dun have kips with us. So we ask what other currency se accept. The worst part was we didn't know what each other was saying. We were like chicken and duck again. So we just take out whatever currency we had and show her la. We used up all the Dongs we had and she didn't wanna accept thai baht cus it's not at the Thai border. So we paid partially with dongs and partially with USD. Kuku la...

Met thes 2 guys who were travelling alone. one's from Norway and the other from Britain I think. I still think the one on the left is shuai lor!

And when we talk abt local buses, we talk abt ducks. These poor ducks were literally suffocating and I wonder what if a few of them get bus-sickness...hahahaha!!!!

Many stops along the way to drop locals off. I think this guy who got off this stop actually shifted provision shop here cus there were many and I really mean MANY cartons of stuff. We stop long enough for Lun to capture quite a few pictures.

Finally reached Savan after more than 5 hours of pain ass ride!

In the process o looking for lodging, we saw this.

Their pasar malam selling all kinds of food with house flies. A million of them!

We wer famished so we settled for this pub like place. Food was alright. Most impt it's cheap! I think Laos food is damn cheap!!!!! I miss the cheap food!

Day 11 - Savannakhet to Mukdahan; Mukdahan to Nakhon Pathom; Sacred temple in Nakhon Pathom

Oh ya...our guesthouse which was stayable and air-conditioned!

At the entrance of the bus terminal...

The Laos-Thailand Friendship bridge which saved alot of hassle queuing for boat across Mekong River.
Thailand Immigration was so much better! Even their officers don royal yellow uniform.

Our really classic bus from Mukdahan to Nakhon Pathom.

You see how I didn't have any legroom space for like 2-3 hours. Then th bus door was open so i was quite scared this other fellow's bag will just fly out. 2 really old monks were sitting right behind us and they always give the peaceful face..haha

We took the tuk tuk to the hotel.

Checked in to Viewkong Hotel...It's facing the Mekong River...damn shiok! I know it's not the Caribbean but better than nothing right???

Then we took a bus to the most sacred temple in Thailand. A huge temple with lots of statues and it just looked majestic!

On another local bus back to our hotel.

Day 12 - Walking around our Hotel; Bus to BKK in the evening

    Another temple near our hotel...

Before we left, we drop by Tesco to buy phone card and have dinner. The trolleys attracted every attention in the mart. We're tourist la ppl and bag heavy so of course push la!
Our super VIP bus to Bangkok! Leave on the dot one leh...mai siao siao!

And we're on our 11-hours bus journey to BKK! Shopping awaits us except Lun who totally dreaded this part of the trip. Well, guys are guys so we understand...hahaha
