I know that time cannot be turned back.

But can I buy one more week of holiday?

It's sickening to know that I still have assignment on to complete, tests dates drawing near and I've yet to know anything.

If this impossible wish of another week holiday really come true, I will use it wisely I promise!

So since it's never gonna come true, I'll continue procrastinating and wasting my life away.

I seriously need a LOOOOOOOOOOONG break!!!!

    And guidance...and push...and scolding...and punching......

...and wake me up to reality.

Can i request for 1 more?

Just need Haagen Dazs Macadamia Brittle (mind you, it's whole pint! but shared with 5 other ppl cus the company reminds me that wasting such time away is sheer bliss)

Finally, I have to face reality and hit my books. Good times never last while horrible times always seem to drag.

Had a jolly good time on fri and sat but KL was darn tiring. I really appreciate everyone's presence and company during the chalet. Wanna THANK edmund, huat, teck and irene for their brilliant help in deco as well as the mahjong session where we really had good laugh over my stupidity as well as paid some sch fees. But in any case, it was FUN FUN FUN...I want more mahjong-ing.

THANK YOU for those who came, msged to wish me well, helped me with odds and ends, shared the joy, the pressies and incessant laughter. I haven retrieve the pictures from my aunt so you gotta wait.

Meanwhile, bear with me and make do with gabrielle's cutie lil expression.

I am looking forward to many cards. I love bday cards or any cards on any occasion cus 10 years down the road, i'll probably be reminising over it and smiling to the card. Don't you think it's the sweetest memory one can give? It may be a simple card with few words or a card with plenty of words, but it was definitely words that you wrote with your heart. A touch of tenderness i must say...it just warms my heart. I still have a file filled of cards from the first card i receive...never thrown any away..not even new year cards nor christmas cards...sentimental person I am..hahaha. I can read and re-read the card a hundred times and still smile to myself with images of the past we once shared flowing through my mind. I prefer a written card than sms-es to wish a person though I still sms most of the time. Alright, from now on, I shall send bday cards instead of sms-es. Hope the person will keep the card and not into the bin.

    For now,

四姑 has volunteered to be my cammie woman. Baby gabrielle will be there too!

Look at him, ain't he cute? the funniest part is when we asked him to smile for the camera, he smile and lock at that expression but my aunt suddenly can't get the cammie working and his smile turned out super sour...too bad dun have the pic here..

This is baby Adna Joselyn Ch'ng Ying (name should be spelt like this i guess), she's gonna be a mth old this weekend. Pretty little pearl...never even let out a cry when we were all so noisy. Guess she's really tired...

Having babies and kids for CNY really bring up the atmosphere...but seeing them grow threw me a hard fact that I've aged. But what can I do...just accept it lo...

I spent half my CNY doing sucky labbies...ended up with lack of sleep and snoozing in every house i went. It was so terrible man...year of the pig really sleep like a log!

Just today, which is chu er, my mummy said calendar says this is the worse day of the month with rain throughout the day. Then it started to rain, how true can it be? Hard not to believe sometimes. But raining is only a climate thing.

The worse thing did happen!!! If guan gong never po pi our family, i wouldn't have been here to tell ya these. While on our way to fetch 4th aunt, we were driving along AYE, then there was this trailer that brake suddenly and the driver swerved to the right. His container behind has no brakes so it trusted the whole vehicle forward causing it to swerve like a snake. It was right before our eyes. the car in front of us had his front bumper blown to the 3rd lane. Luckily the ABS cut in at the right time, else, the container would have hit out chassis and god knows whether what would happen. We were damn lucky like my parents say. Then mummy say cus father kana summon few days back so that was xiao1 zai1 dang3 zai1..hahaha...maybe that is a sign. Our hearts dropped...mummy cant even swallow her last mouth of Macs..hahaha...Afterall, all these trauma is too much for her to take.

Today was merry-go-round (a term used by the Lim's family cus we always go Frankel Ave then Hougang and last stop, Ang Mo Kio). It was annual visitation affair to my late grandmother's sisters and sister-in-law. It's really sweet to still keep such contacts year after year. Having seen them for almost 21 years, they really had aged, just like me! Oh my...how fast can time fly?

A year can change a lot. It was this year that I've seen suay lao yi hunch a little more than last year, suay lao yi cant stand for long and suay lao kim walking around with a walking stick (she's almost 90). But they're still fit as a fiddle. Health is super important...so is sister and brother love just like what aunt terry said today. We do have a loving family! and I am so loving it:)

I always admire what suay lao yi's family would do to help each other. Like many years ago, their sister got a stroke and was wheelchair-bound. She couldn't do anything at all. They hired 2 maids to take care of her. She had to be tube-fed. Both her children are around my age. Every year, when we meet her at suay lao yi's house, she would try to give a smile. I think it has really been a hard time for her. Only 2 years back, she could raise her hand a little to shake hands with us. It was a different feeling today without her presence cus she passed on last year. I remember her sisters saying how they would bring her for shopping because they could not bring her for overseas trip (she actually teared because she wanted to go korea with the family but it will be too much trouble to bring her along). And she love sour prunes but just cannot eat them. The sister would bite a little and chew, then put it in a hankerchief and put it in her mouth so she could at least taste a little. They're a loving bunch of people really...

And i am loving these bits and pieces of CNY - the BONDING!!!

    Happy Piggy Year Everyone!!!

This is by far the quietiest new year i ever been through...not as happening as before. And i'm still stuck with stupid lab reports. Thanks to my great big procrastination and turtle speed which resulted in such dire state.

Almost every year, we will go to chinatown on the eve to get cheap buys (though it's not cheap cus it's all sales gimmick!). This year, my father is so busy that even taking a good rest is difficult.

My promising and ambitious friday is gone just by a phone call. Cus the great father ask me to help him do some drilling in the workshop cus he needs it to be delivered after CNY. So, being the ever so lazy daughter, I decided to help to lighten his load la..filial right? haha...Actually, it's not that i dun wanna help but it's really taxing. we worked till 5am, Sat. So cham lo...I tighten the chuck until my hand is swollen when i woke up today. Not that I wanna complain sometimes cus complaining is the only way to let out frustrations for me. I would very much want to help him but I still feel that a guy would fit his bill. It's too much for me to take.

Visitations, new clothes, many angpows, many bondings, bak kwas, cookies, pineapple tarts...OMG...I LOVE CNY!!!

Should i just not sleep to shou shui? parents will have longer lives i heard. But it wont kill to not sleep for a night for ur parents to live longer right? Let me spend this time to do my labbies. I got my parent's ang pow alrdy, have you?

Enjoy the great company, great food, and a fatter pocket!!

The musical Grease suddenly came to my mind. It was really a childhood memory...I remember watching it when i was in primary school. Not many of my age then knew what a musical was much less watch it. It was probably the Spice girls craze back then. But nonetheless, I love GREASE!! It was them who made me fall for musicals. I appreciate their hardwork for the dance steps and songs and everything that made it so wonderful. I JUST LOVE MUSICALS!!!

Look at this and you will know why it's so darn nice... ...

    Song: Summer Nights

Summer lovin' had me a blast
    Summer lovin', happened so fast
I met a girl crazy for me
I met a boy, cute as can be
    Summer days driftin' away,
    To uh-oh those summer nights
Tell me more, tell me more,
    Did you get very far?
Tell me more, tell me more,
Like, does he have a car?
She swam by me, she got a cramp
He went by me, got my suit damp
I saved her life, she nearly drowned
    He showed off, splashing around
    Summer sun, something's begun,
    But uh-oh those summer nights
Tell me more, tell me more,
Was it love at first sight?
Tell me more, tell me more,
Did she put up a fight?
Took her bowlin' in the Arcade
    We went strollin', drank lemonade
We made out under the dock
we stayed up until ten o'clock
Summer fling don't mean a thing,
    But uh-oh those summer nights
Tell me more, tell me more,
    But you don't gotta brag
Tell me more, tell me more,
Cause he sounds like a drag
He got friendly, holdin' my hand
Well she got friendly, down in the sand
He was sweet, just turned eighteen
Well she was good, you know what I mean
Summer heat, boy and girl meet,
    But uh-oh those summer nights
Tell me more, tell me more,
How much dough did he spend?
Tell me more, tell me more,
Could she get me a friend?
It turned colder, that's where it ends
So I told her we'd still be friends
Then we made our true love vow
    Wonder what she's doin' now
Summer dreams ripped at the seams,
    But oh, those summer nights

    This song is great too!

    Song: Hopelessly Devoted To You

Guess mine is not the first heart broken,
my eyes are not the first to cry I'm not the first to know,
there's just no gettin' over you
Hello, I'm just a fool who's willing to sit around
and wait for you But baby can't you
    see, there's nothin' else
for me to do I'm hopelessly devoted to you
But now there's nowhere to hide,
since you pushed my love aside I'm not in my head,
    hopelessly devoted to you
    Hopelessly devoted to you,
    hopelessly devoted to you
My head is saying "fool, forget him",
my heart is saying "don't let go"
Hold on to the end, that's what I intend to do
    I'm hopelessly devoted to you
But now there's nowhere to hide,
since you pushed my love aside I'm not in my head,
    hopelessly devoted to you
    Hopelessly devoted to you,
    hopelessly devoted to you.
    The medley...

    Lessons in Logic

If your father is a poor man,it is your fate
but if your father-in-law is a poor man,it's your stupidity.

I was born intelligent -education ruined me

    Practice makes perfect
But nobody's perfect, so why practice

If it's true that we are here to help others,
then what exactly are the others here for

Since light travels faster than sound,
people appear bright until you hear them speak

How come "abbreviated" is such a long word

    Money is not everything.
    There's Mastercard & Visa

One should love animals. They are so tasty.

Behind every successful man, there is a woman
And behind every unsuccessful man, there are two

    Every man should marry.
After all, happiness is not the only thing in life.

    The wise never marry.
And when they marry they become otherwise

Success is a relative term.It brings so many relatives

"Your future depends on your dreams"
    So go to sleep

There should be a better way to start a day than waking up every morning

    Hard work never killed anybody
    "But why take the risk?

    Work fascinates me
"I can look at it for hours"

    God made relatives;
Thank God we can choose our friends

The more you learn, the more you know.
The more you know, the more you forget.
The more you forget, the less you know
    So.. why learn

Such a selfless (for the guy) and selfish (the girl) story...

There was a blind girl who hated herself just because she's blind.

She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend.

    He's always there for her.

She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry her boyfriend.

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her and she saw everything, including her boyfriend.

Her boyfriend asked her, "Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?"

The girl was shocked when she saw that her boyfriend is blind too, and refused to marry him.

Her boyfriend walked away in tears, and later wrote her a letter, saying:"Just take care of my eyes, dear."

    Well....celebrations are love-hate, bitter-sweet events.

The pre-planning and preparation part is horrid. It gets on my nerves sometimes.

Nonetheless, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the process. Like looking at the buffet menu with glistening eyes and eager to just order everything! So spoilt for choices..hahaha

Planning what decos and digging out the balloons..the neverending namelist.

It's sweet to receive msgs that confirm their attendance on that day. It's gonna be a huge-ass gathering. From sec sch to poly to uni...plus father and mother side relatives.

I'm praying that everything goes well...

At least for now, it's more or less settled. Cake ordered and everyone's informed.

    What else is needed??

Parents dun wanna lift a finger so i have to see to everything. But i cant blame them cus they're busier than the bumble bee.

At least they're asking abt it so it goes to show they still care but just want me to settle everything myself.

I'm coughing like siao charbor i think my neighbour also condemn me. When i was taking a few buses yesterday and the day before, there always come a point when my throat gets too dry and itchy so i coughed non-stop. And I got stares as if i got H5N1 virus kind of thing. So to console myself that i'm safe, i checked this out...

    Bird Flu Symptoms

Fever: One of the first symptoms of bird flu in humans is a fever higher than 100 °F, that is 38 °C.

Cough: Cough similar to regular flu symptoms. Coughing patients emit droplets laden with virus, and for this reason, a protective face mask is recommended for both patients and caretakers. A surgical mask is sufficient for patients, while caretakers should wear a face mask that is N95 certified or better.

    Shortness of Breath: Difficulties breathing.

Sore throat: Similar to regular flu.

Diarrhea and Abdominal Pain: Diarrhea and abdominal pain has been a symptom in some patients, but not all of them. Watery diarrhea may be a symptom in bird flu cases, but is not a common symptom in regular flu. Diarrhea comes before respiratory symptoms. Two young patients had encephalitis and diarrhea without any respiratory symptoms.

Bleeding of nose and gums: A symptom reported in some patients.

Muscle Aches: Similar aches as for regular flu.

Vomitting: Nausea and vomitting has been a symptom in some patients.

Conjunctivitis: Conjunctivitis is not a usual symptom of people with H5N1 avian flu, but is common in people infected with other subtypes of avian flu.

Flu-like Symptoms With a Few Differences:
In general, bird flu symptoms in humans are similar to regular flu symptoms. High fever, muscle aches, cough, and sore throat are common. Humans ill with avian flu subtype H5N1 rarely have conjunctivitis, a common symptom in people infected with other subtypes of avian flu.
Most people have suffered respiratory distress, but a couple of young children did not show any signs of respiratory distress, but had diarrhea and symptoms of encephalitis.

So the ones in orange that i'm suffering from so i guess i'm pretty safe. But my hands and legs are shivering badly today and i'm not feverish though.

    Somethings really wrong inside:(

Mummy was robbed yesterday @ one of the petrol kiosk in JB.

    The drama goes like this...

Pa went to the cashier to pay for the petrol while Ronald was cleaning the windscreen of the car. Just after he finished his cleaning, he went quite some distance away to see something. Suddenly, a MALAY man opened the car door and grabbed mummy's hand, snatched the bag and ran to his accomplice on a bike all ready to chiong off. Mummy was in a state of shocked and only shouted seconds later. Pa gave chase into a malay kampong and lost sight of them.

Wa lao...so daring dunno how to go rob bank ar! come rob my mother...if me and my other siblings were there, i think he sure dun dare come disturb one lo. Lucky thing mummy took out the passport already, if not the bastards will be earning big moolas from the sale of 3 passports. I make sure i kick his kuku until the police stop me ar.

Mummy say many ppl were present at the scene but no one helped. All just stand there see. Please la, free show meh?!!! I was cursing and swearing at the bastards la. Mummy still kind enough to say hope they meet an accident and then police catch them. Naive thinking man...where will the government wanna feed robbers in jail one. I hope their hands rot and if they ever meet an accident, please dun die cus it's too instant. Let them die in agony. I know i'm evil but how dare they step onto my tail.

My poor Ronald is still suffering from trauma. He kept blaming himself that if he didnt walk away, he might be able to do something. He doesn't need to feel remorseful la cus when this kind of things happen, it's difficult to prevent. Blame on the people's thinking la...they're weren't brought up rightfully. I hope he's coping

It gets pretty bad in the night...with itching throat i feel like just forcing my whole hand down to scratch. Excessive and forceful coughing caused some bleeding which makes morning mucus bloody...eeeeeeeeeeks...Plus, i'm speaking like some cow which has lost it's milking ability. Okie...i know there's no link...

The only contentment is get is that it doesn't cause plenty of trouble in class like coughing or sneezing like crazy, though this is terrible enough.

I hope i get better soon and same goes to the ppl who're sick.
